Kehinde Andrews

Kehinde is an academic, activist and author whose books include Back to Black: Retelling Black Radicalism for the 21st Century (2018). His first book was Resisting Racism: Race, Inequality and the Black Supplementary School Movement (2013). Kehinde led leading the development of the Black Studies degree and is director of the Centre for Critical Social Research; founder of the Harambee Organisation of Black Unity; and co-chair of the Black Studies Association.

Ladi Fagbola

Ladi is a writer, student and photographer from Nigeria, living and working in the UK. His interests include arts, culture, international politics and race.

Simi Fagbola

Simi is a doctor and activist, originally from Nigeria now living and working in Europe. Her interests include politics, the music of Nina Simone, manga and other popular culture.

Asmara Hamilton

Asmara is one of the first students on the BA Black Studies course at Birmingham City University, and she is currently volunteering at Harambee OBU.

Jaron Escoffrey

Jaron is a founder of the Boukman Academy, which aims to educate and empower through action, teaching politics, history, economics, and social sciences from a Black perspective.
