Racism in Academia

Share your experience

Racism in universities has been under the spotlight since last June with the UK universities advisory group even admitting that British Universities are institutionally racist. But the conversation has rarely included the experiences of educators and researchers who engage with and enter this space at a different level. Professor Kehinde Andrews, the only Black professor at Birmingham City University has spoken out about his treatment – now, Make It Plain, the editorial wing of Harambee OBU hopes to take this conversation even further.

Who do we want to hear from?
  • Doctoral students, academic researchers, professors at universities and higher education institutions across Britain
  • Of Afrikan or Asian heritage
